This lovely elfin girl appeared as if from no-where. I love her completely. Sketched in an ordinary black pen and basic pencils which I love.

A Wistful Kitten Girl Gazes At The Talking Moon

I have sketched a range of curly kitten pictures lately. And the cat on the left hand side seems to appear in every image. Funny that recently a lovely ginger cat called Kipper came into the garden. I made friends with him. I love my imagination.

This was sketched with basic pencils. I used my new set I thoroughly enjoyed colouring this in.

Little girls love

My friends little girl is turning 2 soon. I wanted to make her a simple picture for her bedroom wall. She loves cats, bees and cows (grin). So I just put them all into one drawing. Its got a little sheen to photo as I took it after I had put it into a frame for her birthday. It makes me smile.

A Painting Of Song

This painting came on a day that I had a lot of emotional stuff going on. I had no clue what I was painting. My ‘mind’ had decided to paint a road but it turned into a willowey wisp of a willow tree.  And the owl? a complete surprise he just appeared. I was singing a song,  some tears streaming down my face, asking what was hidden inside me, hidden inside my soul.

Tiger Tiger Burning Bright

Tiger Tiger burning bright, please do share with me your insight.

A few months back I decided to pick up my brush and start painting again. I had not painted since I was 15-16 years of age (not ‘properly’ anyway). I had painted a few years back but it was at a time when my inner child just needed to express with colour. It was a healing process, like all my art now, my inner child wanted to paint and splosh with paint and loved playing with colour, but I had never sat down and thought “I am going to paint ‘A Painting’ “.So with my first ever easel I Continue reading

All Roads Lead Back Home

As I painted this picture I realised I was going down different pathways inside myself. All roads lead home and are crossed by the spiral snake of transformation. Throughout the infinity symbol shines out the death and rebirth cycle and the everlasting nature of the journey of life.

I sometimes simply draw to heal (actually if im honest most of my art is healing). Healing aspects that are coming up to be heard and nurtured.

Mainly draw in ink and coloured in with crayola pencils. I also played with the fill colour tool on my photo programme as my scanner did not pick up the green pencil for some reason on this image.

Self Portrait

Self Portrait

One day I was thinking I needed to see what it was like to draw a portrait of someone again and as I am mainly on my own (apart from Mike) I thought I would give myself a go. It was a challenge in self love. I made my gums probably a bit bigger than they are but it helped me embrace who I am physically. Highly recommend it for self appreciation. The colours are colours I either needed at the time or are coming through me. Its fun, a bit caricature but I kinda like it. I used basic kiddies crayola pencils and  black pen.
